Those of you who already own a handheld vacuum cleaner are probably complaining about the short battery life and the long charging time for the NiMh battery powering the cleaning device, which requires 12 hours of charging to operate for about 10 minutes.
When I went to look for handheld vacuum cleaners and get one for myself, I was surprised that there was no model powered by the Lithium-Ion battery technology and that I have to wait so long for the device to recharge. Well, after a while I found out that there are a few models powered by the Li-Ion technology, and one of them is the wet-and-dry model from the German company AEG. Rapido is one of the innovative products showcased at this year’s edition of the IFA event.
Rapido has a modern look, weighs slightly over 1 Kg, and is described as being powerful when cleaning even in hard-to-reach spaces. It supports 5 storage positions, including hung on the wall. Other features include cyclone effect, double filtering, 500 ml volume, two speed levels, and rapid filter cleaning. Optional accessories include car kits and the special nozzle for removing pet hair.
The charging time for the new model is of 4 hours and it can clean your home from dust and dirt, as well as liquids, for up to 35 minutes.
At the moment, it is available in Germany for around EUR 105.
