Two days ago, AbsolutelyNew announced the ORB Wireless Earpiece Finger Ring developed by Hydra Advance Technology.
This is an innovative product and the world’s first finger ring with Bluetooth headset functionality. During silent parts of the day you can wear it as a ring on your finger, and when you need it for calls you just have to twist it open and place it on your ear. While used as a Bluetooth headset, ORB looks like a stylish ear accessory.
More than that, there’s a deluxe edition that comes with a flexible OLED display that shows the caller ID and calendar reminders right on your finger.
Orb rings are available for different finger sizes and the deluxe version enables voice-to-text capability so you won’t have to take the ring off your finger.
Expect to see this innovative gadget in stores at the beginning of the next year. It will have a retail price of $129 for the base model without display, featuring aluminum housing, while the deluxe edition will come out at $175.
In 2010 you’ll find it available in different designs with gemstones.
