Earlier today I’ve received the firebox newsletter presenting a new product introduced at the online store called the WoodStation. I loved it from the first moment I saw how it works and wanted to show it to you too.

Woodstation is a desktop gadget that shows the time, date and predicts the weather, but the coolest thing about it is how it works – it comes to life as you wave your hand in front of it. It can sense movement based on built-in motion sensors and uses orange LED lights to display the time, date and weather in a beautiful way based on icons representing sunny, partly cloudy, rainy, snowy and stormy weather conditions.

If you’re wondering how it can predict weather, well, according to the product’s description in checks the barometric pressure, indoor relative temperature and indoor humidity.

The gadget powers from four AA batteries and comes in Maple and Wallnut finishes with two setting possibilities – on a desk or on the wall.
