Starting August 10 you’ll have the chance to discover a new portable location recording device called Trackstick Mini, which will be available in stores in the United States, Europe and Australia.
It works worldwide based on 24 global positioning satellites to tracks all the places you travel around the globe.
The technology used by the currently available Trackstick devices allows you to record time, date, location, speed, heading, altitude and even temperature of the locations you travel through.
It even supports geotagging so you can check to see where specific digital photos were taken right on Google Maps. For this you need a digital camera, the Trackstick and the Google Earth application. There is also a special software included.
Trackstick Mini powers from a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and uses a built-in 360-degree antenna. It is water-resistant and comes with a detachable magnetic vehicle mount.
The price is not known yet, but Trackstick II, one of the previously introduced models, is available now for $149.
