A couple of days ago Toshiba announced a new netbook computer called the mini NB205 and the first two versions introduced are the mini NB205-N310 and mini NB205-N210, both providing very long battery life of up to nine hours, a 10.1-inch LED backlit display, full-size QWERTY keyboard, large touchpad, and Windows XP interface.
In addition, the new model comes with a Hard Drive Impact Sensor that protects the data stored in case of accidental bumps, and USB port with Sleep-and-Charge capability that allows the user charge other mobile gadgets even when the notebook is in Off mode.
Other features include a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, up to 2GB SSR2 memory, 160GB hard disk space, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR, built-in web camera and mic, card slot, security lock slot, RGB port for external monitors, and a 6-cell battery.
While Toshiba mini NB205-N210 sports the Fusion Finish in Black Onyx cover and a Black Matte keyboard, being available at a starting price of $349, the Toshiba mini NB205-N310 has a textured finish, chrome hinge and comes in Sable Brown, Frost White, Indigo Blue and Posh Pink, all metallic colors, at a price of $399.
