Sony Ericsson Presents Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana Luxury Cell Phone

Meet Jalou, a limited edition clamshell-style luxury cell phone released by Sony Ericsson and Dolce&Gabbana.
Actually, there are two versions of the handset available, the Dolce&Gabbana-branded model and Sony Ericsson Jalou.

Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana is a very small handset measuring just 73 mm in length and comes in Sparkling Rose with 24-carat gold plating. It’s packed with matching accessories like three silky rose satin bags – one for the stylish cell phone, one for the charger and one for your jewelries, as well as a Dolce&Gabbana headset for listening to the music while on the go.

The pre-loaded content includes images and videos from Dolce&Gabbana’s women’s Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show, cool branded themes, wallpapers, and a Dolce&Gabbana blog that delivers the latest fashion trends and gossips via the RSS feed.
Dolce&Gabbana Jalou will be available in the fourth quarter 2009.

Sony Ericsson Jalou will also be released in the fourth quarter 2009 in Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.
As the clamshell opens it reveals a 2-inch display of 262K colors that becomes a mirror at a touch of the dedicated Mirror Key, so you can always look perfect. It features a built-in Walk Mate step counter to let you know how many calories you’re burning while walking, a built-in 3.2MP digital camera with video recording capability and 3.2x zoom, geotagging, music player with MEGA BASS, PlayNow and TrackID, 3G, Bluetooth, stereo FM radio with RDS, email, instant messaging, 3D games, motion-based games, and direct access to YouTube, Google and other popular online places.

Jalou allows you to store up to 100MB of data on its internal memory, but you have the possibility to add more via a microSD card.
It provides up to 4 hours and 250 minutes of continuous talk time or 350 hours of standby.

I wish I knew the price it will be available for, but it’s too soon to speculate, so we should wait until the release to find out more about that.
