I recognize that I haven’t smell these antique perfume bottles, but I am attracted by the nice presentation and description, so if you had the chance to smell them, tell us how cool they are.
According to Firebox, they are following ancient recipes and are known as the Scents of Time line.
These are the fragrance recipes used in the Ancient Egypt, Pompeii and Mesoamerica, and worn maybe by the controversial queen Cleopatra.

David Pybus was the one who deciphered the right formulas from ancient hieroglyphics and studied original samples from volcanic rocks.
Besides the attractive boxes in which the perfumes are offered, you can find information about each bottle and how the fragrances were created.

While ladies could wear Pyxis, a perfume characteristic to Pompeii and smelling like flowers, herbs and spice spores, the Nenufar characteristic to the Ancient Egypt and using Blue Lotus, or the Maya with vanilla and chocolate scents, men could go for the Ankh, meaning Eternal Life, which is also a unisex fragrance.

To give you more details, we found out that Maya is from the same category as Yves St Laurent’s Opium, the Nenufar from Elizabeth Arden’s Sunflowers, the Pyxis from Gucci’s Rush, while the Ankh smells similar with Dior’s Dune or Calvin Klein’s Euphoria.
The antique perfume bottles hold 50 ml and 100 ml(Ankh) and are available at Firebox for £44.95 and £59.95, respectively.
