Nikon Coolpix S1000pj - Video of the World's First Camera With Buillt-In Projector

As you probably already know, in August Nikon launched the world’s first digital camera with built-in projector called Nikon Coolpix S1000pj.
It is a compact camera with a resolution of 12.1MP, 5x zoom, 4x digital zoom, a 2.7-inch display with anti-reflexion coating, support for SD/SDHC memory cards, Vibration Reduction, 16 scene modes, 4 movie modes with sound, ISO 6400, and a rechargeable Li-Ion battery included.

Three key features of the camera are the smart portrait mode that recognizes up to 12 faces and adjusts the Skin Softening, Smile Timer, Blink Proof and the Blink Warning functions, the intelligent auto shooting modes, and the Quick Retouch function that corrects images by adjusting the color saturation and contrast levels.
All of these are cool features, but the most interesting is the built-in projector that activates at the touch of a dedicated button to project photos on any surface immediately after shooting them. The projected image can be of up to 40 inches in diagonal and you have the option to present photos in a slideshow with some nice effects and music background from the camera.

I personally didn’t see any use in projectors in general, but now, after watching the following video showing how to use the projector, how easy it is to check pictures in a larger size on any surface, and how clear they are displayed, I can say it enables a handy way of sharing pictures with friends and to check and see how clear the details were captured, so I can keep only those that are perfect.
