RFR Designers, founded by Riccardo Delle Donne, Fabio Merzari and Raffaele Pennazzi, see the next-generation iPhone as a transparent mobile phone featuring a display consisting of two OLED screens with shape memory alloy, which roll inside when the handset is closed.
As you touch the multi-touch display, the handset comes to life and the icons selected come forward in the close-up display. This creates the multi-layer effect.
The ambient light sensor is also used in the RFR’s iPhone concept. It adjusts the display brightness according to the environmental light intensity.
Specifications would include a size of 115 x 65 x 7.5 mm when open, 32.5 x 65 x 7.5 mm when closed, a weight of 113 grams, aluminum body, messaging light, built-in 5MP camera and 128GB memory.
