New Parrot Grande Specchio by Martin Szekely Runs on Android

Last year, Parrot introduced the designer digital photo frame that becomes a mirror when turned off, created by Martin Szekely and called Parrot Specchio.
Yesterday, Parrot announced the introduction of a new edition of this digital photo frame created by the same designer. Parrot Grande Specchio is larger than its predecessor, having a display diagonal of 10.4 inches, and comes with new functionalities such as High Definition support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SD card slot, USB connectivity, and the Google Android operating system pre-installed.

The digital photo frame can be used to display more than 1,5000 photos, transfer files wirelessly onto the frame, add media recorded with a cell phone or digital camera via a microSD memory card, read the latest news via the RSS reader, get information on anything via the Internet, share pictures on social networking sites, and receive pictures via email directly on the frame.

Parrot Grande Specchio features touch-sensitive keys at the top, as well as a discreet trackball for easy navigation.
Specifications include Bluetooth 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate, 200 MB internal memory, brightness adjustment, automatic photo size adjustment, standby mode, automatic rotation for landscape and portrait modes, integrated Near Field Communication technology, and a size of 260 x 260 x 25 mm at 650 grams.

You can get the designer frame from Parrot for $650 and wait for it to start shipping on December 3.
