I don’t know about you, but I live in an area full of dust and can’t keep it away, although my room is ventilated every day. One of the key gadgets in my life is my keyboard, which needs to stay clean because I use to type a lot and large dust particles make the keys get stuck from time to time. For this type of problem I chose this mini computer vacuum cleaner from MiniInTheBox.com for review. It became one of my top choices after watching some demo videos on YouTube featuring similar vacuum cleaners.

The model I’m reviewing today is the FD-368 Computer Mini Vacuum, coming in blue with two cleaning attachments. It connects to the desktop computer or laptop via USB and allows you to switch between two power levels by sliding the button to the right, from Off to the first level and one more time for the High Power mode.

I guess it’s clear that the first level is for the finest dust particles, while High Power is suppose to help vacuuming heavier dust and dirt. You also can change the suction tube attachment with the brush attachment, depending on the type of cleaning you plan to do.
After using the USB mini vacuum cleaner, I can tell you that it’s not powerful enough to clean the fans or other computer parts that gather large amounts of dust. I still managed to clean the desktop computer’s dust filter area.

Practically, you can use the tool to get rid of the fine dust particles inside your keyboard, but I don’t advise you to get one of these if you are allergic to dust, as after a while it starts spreading dust around. It can’t hold much dust, so it’s useful just for short cleaning.
Another issue I’ve discovered while testing the mini vacuum cleaner is that if you take the soft filter out, it’s very hard to put it back. You need to clean the dust inside by gently agitating the device over your waste bin.

You can get the USB Powered Mini Turbo Vacuum Cleaner with Brush for a very affordable price of $3.59 from MiniInTheBox.com.
