Lumea IPL Precision Plus is the latest entry in Philips’ IPL hair removal series of devices powered by advanced technologies, but designed for home use. The latest model not only removes from your body and face, using light pulses, but also prevents hair growth, keeping the skin smooth.

Applying gentle pulses of light regularly on your skin, you will remove hair completely and forever, even from sensitive areas. The device uses a precision attachment for facial treatment and a bigger body attachment for fast treatment. Philips explains that the IPL Intense Pulsed Light technology applies gentle pulses of light to the hair root to result in hair shedding naturally, inhibiting hair regrowth.

Other features include cordless operation, effectiveness on most hair types except red/light-blonde/white hair and on most skin types except very dark skin, adjustable light energy settings, and effectiveness on upper lip, chin, sideburns, legs, underarm, stomach, bikini area, and arms.

The Lumea IPL series of hair removal devices also won an iF product design award in 2012 and Lumea IPL Precision Plus is available for purchase for $599 from Amazon.
