This new smartphone resulted from the collaboration between LG and Verizon Wireless has an interesting design concept. It combines a standard touchscreen smartphone that you could control using one hand, and a detachable QWERTY keyboard embedded in a protective case.

The idea of the innovative design is to allow you to make and receive phone calls, check messages, control the media player and take pictures on the go,using just the handset, and when you need to compose long text messages or emails, as well as browse the web, you can easily place the handset in the case and use the full keyboard.

LG Versa will be available for purchase at Verizon Wireless starting tomorrow, bringing a 3-inch touchscreen 3D interface with haptics, 3 home screens, auto-rotate function for the landscape mode, HTML support, Flash support, RSS reader, motion-sensing games, support for up to 3 windows opened simultaneously, Visual Voice Mail, built-in 2MP camera, Face Detection, image editor, multimedia player, up to 16GB external storage support, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, multitasking technology, voice commands, external OLED display, and a continuous talk time of up to 290 minutes. Of course, you get also full access to all the services provided by Verizon Wireless.

For the new high-end smartphone you’ll have to spend only $199.99, but with a $50 mail-in rebate and the new 2-year agreement.
