The Keychain UV Intensity Meter was conceived as a useful tool for hot summer days when you want to know the UV intensity level in order to choose a cream with the right Solar Protection Factor.

Because it is small and light you can carry it on the keychain, cell phone, travel bag or other things you take out with. The gadget shows a UV intensity number after 5 seconds since it is turned On and there’s also a LED light indicator that gives you an idea of how high that level is. For example, when it displays a number between 0 and 2 you’ll see a green light, orange for 3-5, which is the medium level, and when it is between 6 and 8, the LED light will turn red.

To make you understand better, for 1-2 UV you’ll need a SPF 8 cream; for 3-5 a SPF 15 protection cream; 6-7 requires SPF 25, while 8-10 means you need something with SPF 40. You will then apply the cream every hour for best protection.

The Keychain UV Intensity Meter is made of ABS plastic and measures 55 x 22 x 9 mm. It features an LCD display, the LED indicator, an UV sensor, while powering from a 3V battery.
