ISOTONER Women’s smarTouch Stretch, Fleece Lined Gloves – Review
Published by Sierra Monica B. on December 11, 2011 under Product Reviews and Giveaways
Isotoner are the makers of these special gloves designed to allow you to use your touchscreen device in cold, without taking off the gloves. They come in many designs and work with all touchscreen devices, including your smartphone, iPhone, iPad, e-book reader, digital camera, and even ATMs, GPS devices and gas pumps. Thanks to the smart construction featuring conductive thread embroidery in the index finger and thumb, which conveys electrical impulse to the touchscreen, the Isotoner glove enables high-precision when clicking on links and objects during web browsing web, message composing or game playing. In addition, the palm area is non-slip so you don’t have to worry about dropping the handset accidentally. The touchscreen gloves are also water-repellent and available for both men and women.
Isotoner sent us a pair of Women’s smarTouch Stretch Gloves – Fleece Lined for this review and in addition to Baltic, you can find these in Azalea, Black, Charcoal, Cobalt, Grape, Oyster, and Really Red.
These gloves are made using high-quality, soft materials such as nylon polyester for the backshell, fleece for sidewalls, silicone grip for the palm, and fleece lining. The wrist is gathered so you won’t feel the cold won’t pass through the sleeve. You can wash these in cold water without bleach, but you can’t tumble dry, dry clean or iron.
What I like at them is that they are soft and stretch so there is no bulky area. The sizing is perfect if you use the measuring instructions, which doesn’t happen with other gloves. I think it’s the first pair of gloves that really fits my fingers. This is the reason I stopped wearing any kind of gloves until trying these. The glove’s little finger was always too large and it was one thing I hated at gloves in general. Well, this doesn’t happen with the stretch Isotoner gloves.
The jersey style palm helps me keep the cell phone stable in landscape and portrait modes, with two hands or one hand. I’m thinking that the silicone grip will help this winter in buses, when holding those metallic bars. In the past I had to take off the gloves to hold those and feel my hands freezing, but not anymore.
I have been using the Istotoner gloves the last few days and I noticed how accurate they are when clicking on links on the small display of my Xperia X8. For example, one time I remember I had four tiny links under my thumb or index finger and I pressed on the right link at the first try. Playing Angry Birds is a breeze with these gloves too. For pinpoint accuracy you only need to make sure your fingertips reach the end of the gloves to engage conductive heat properly.
The Isotoner Women’s smarTouch Stretch Gloves – Fleece Lined are available for purchase in many places, such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Macy’s, as well as at the Isotoner online shop, for $29.40. They look modern and I like them a lot. I recommend them to those who want to keep their hands warm in the winter and use touchscreen devices while on the go.

One thing that i hate in stretchy material gloves that they lose its grip when you are wearing them after couple of time.
