Elecom announced a new computer mouse prepared for release at the end of this month in Japan. What’s special about the M –TC01DB model is the built-in touch sensor that allows the user to control it by simply swiping the surface with fingers. In addidion, the mouse connects to your computer wirelessly and is compatible with Windows 8, so you can use gestures to zoom in and out, scroll, click and double-click, left and right click, and other gestures supported by the software you you have to install first.
Other features include accurate surface tracking even on glass, carpet over magnetic materials, 2.4GHz frequency, 1000 dpi, tiny wireless receiver that can be stored inside the mouse when not in use, battery level indicator, power switch, and ergonomic/ambidextrous design.
When powered by 2 AA batteries, the mouse with gesture sensor provides 173 hours of operation or 416 days of standby.
Elecom M-TC01DB will be available in black or red for about $100.
