Axis Three is the provider of an advanced software application known as the Portrait 3D Surgical Simulation, which helps both surgeons and their patients to visualize the surgical outcome of different cosmetic surgical procedures, based on the 3D representation of the patients’ photos. The company introduced a new product called the Portrait 3D Face Simulation Module, which will be used for face procedures to show patients how their nose, cheek, chin and jaw will look like after intervention.

Portrait 3D Face Simulation Module was unveiled at the Plastic Surgery 2009 as the latest 3D surgical simulation software coming from Axis Three. It is easy to understand and is based on the Tissue Behavior Simulation technology that enables surgeons to add the patient’s photos and combine them with different implants from catalogues to visualize the results before the surgery. Face procedures supported by the complex software include rhinoplasty, liposuction, chin augmentation, jaw, cheek implants, brow lift, dermabrasion, blepharoplasty, chemical peel, fillers and botox.

The first modules will be available next month for $30,000 to new customers, and for $10,000 to surgeons who are already using the Portrait 3D Surgical Simulation.
