Armatix SmartGun – The Perfect Combination Between a Gun and a Watch

Armatix is a German specialist in digital gun safety systems that designed this interesting gun concept with biometric identification that grants access only to the right user, but working in a different way than we used with. Instead of placing the fingerprint sensor on the gun, Armatix added a digital wrist watch with this feature.

The Armatix SmartGun’s owner has to wear the radio wrist watch that activates with fingerprint identification. The internal database compares the fingerprint with the stored ones and grans access as it finds the match. More than that, the access is granted for a limited period preset by the owner, which can be for example an officer’s work shift. It also can stay activated until manually deactivated.

Having this high-end feature, the SmartGun can be used safer than other guns. It automatically deactivates if lost or stolen because it was designed to become unusable if it gets out of the predefined range between it and the radio wrist watch.

If you’re wondering about the price of the small and smart pistol, it’s selling for EUR 7,000, or about $9,550.
