As I was explaining to you a few days ago, while reviewing the water-powered clock, one of my top priorities when it comes to office gadgets, is to replace all wired peripherals with wireless alternatives. I’m starting with a wireless computer mouse because I had the chance to pick one from M198.com, after they contacted me to send some gadgets for review.
The mouse I chose is a lightweight, stylish, sleek and very thin model coming in white and looking very similar to Apple’s mouse. It makes an affordable solution for those who like modern gadgets and you can use it with both your desktop computer and laptop, whether it’s a PC, Mac or Linux-running system.
The mouse here features 2.4GHz wireless connectivity with the nano receiver that plugs into one of your computer’s USB ports and features an ambidextrous design, so you can use it with both hands. The nano receiver can be stored inside the mouse when not in use, although it won’t eat much space in your bag either, while plugged into the USB port.
In addition, the mouse features a smart energy-saving system so you can keep it operating for a long time. If you don’t use it for a while, it automatically enters sleep mode and you also have the option to simply turn it Off and On using the tiny switch at the bottom.
Like all the other mice out there, this model is plug-and-play so it works right out of the box, with any computer and operating system. It has two buttons and a scroll and tracks the surface based on the optical technology.
The mouse comes in a clear plastic box, with the instructions printed on the back and the nano receiver inside the mouse. You only need to insert two batteries.
-Optical technology (dpi not mentioned)
-Built-in energy-saving system (sleep mode and On/Off switch)
-The nano receiver is stored inside the mouse
-Powers from two small LR03 batteries
Well, I have one thing to comment on this aspect, namely, for a small hand like mine, your fingers will naturally stay in line with the scroll button. This makes the clicks go louder compared to keeping the two fingers on the top front area. It’s clearly not recommended for intensive gaming, but I’m sure you already guessed that.
My plan is to use the mouse with my desktop computer at home and with the Eee PC when I’m outside. I love it and recommend it.
